Frequently Asked Questions

Where is my data stored?
All your data is stored locally on your iPhone. We have no servers, no accounts, and no way to access your data. Your information never leaves your device.
What happens if I delete the app?
Your tracking data will be permanently deleted. Since everything is stored locally, there is no backup on our end. If you use iCloud Backup, your device backup may include the app data.
What are the 9 cups?
The Wahls Protocol recommends 9 cups of vegetables daily: 3 cups leafy greens, 3 cups colored produce (ideally 3 different colors), and 3 cups sulfur-rich vegetables. The app also tracks protein, seaweed, fermented foods, and organ meats.
Do I need to eat exactly 9 cups?
9 cups is the full target. If you're petite or just starting out, even 6 cups (2 of each category) is a strong start. The app tracks your progress, not perfection.
What does "colored all the way through" mean?
For the colored produce categories, the vegetable or fruit must be colored throughout its flesh, not just the skin. Beets, berries, carrots, and sweet potatoes count. Apples and bananas (white inside) do not.
Is this app affiliated with Dr. Terry Wahls?
No. 9 Cups is an independent app inspired by the Wahls Protocol. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Dr. Terry Wahls or her organization.
Is the app really free?
Yes. No ads, no subscriptions, no in-app purchases. Free.
Can I use this app if I don't have MS?
Absolutely. The Wahls Protocol's vegetable targets are broadly beneficial. Anyone interested in increasing their vegetable intake can use 9 Cups.
